LUXURY SEA BLUE-Birmingham central apartment

It was spacious and had a big TV. Our damage deposit was returned quickly and the owner was very responsive.

There was no drop box for key so it’s left unlock so we had to search the place to make sure it was safe for our children. There was a car parked in the allocated parking space so we had to park in someone else’s. We had to pay a £200 bank transfer damage deposit and arrived to find damage all over the apartment. Clearly disrespectful guests have meant that’s why the deposit has been introduced but if you are going to charge a damage deposit surely the damage needs to be repaired first. We felt very uneasy and when all we wanted to do was go to sleep we felt like we had to document all the damage of which sadly there is a lot. One sofa arm is broken, wall paper ripped, heating units/towel rail not fixed to the wall properly, plates chipped, kitchen worktop chipped, cupboard broken. The blind in the main bedroom is broken. We were woken a few times in the night by speeding cars and loud talking- the windows were closed but it didn’t sound like it. There are signs everywhere about not parking in anyone else’s space so we also felt uneasy about that. The owner was very quick to reply though and also quick to return the damage deposit so that was appreciated.

Overall experience was great - location was ideal, host was informative and communicative, would definitely recommend.

Proximity to the centre

The place was not clean, the wallpaper was detaching in some places, there were sticky patches of floor, some of the towels were not that clean, luckily one of the family members couldn’t come with us, there was no sixth bed, only a sofa.

Perfect for what we needed. Plenty of space, clean and very helpful owner when I called due to my mistake with the postcode and he helped me find where I needed to be. Very quick response to any questions too.

Curtains in the first bedroom would be better if they were darker as I woke earlier than I would have liked due to the light. Other than that perfect

It was clean and bigger than we thought. The location was great and the secure car park is a great bonus. The owners were really helpful and overall great value for money.

Lovely place to stay easy accessible, spacious and very secure.
