Excellent evening meal. Freshly prepared and cooked. Beer available. Hotel was spotlessly clean. Splendid shower. Hotel is very new and modern. Bandewela is about 20 mins drive from Ella. Lovely small swimming pool

Being asked what time and what we want for breakfast the evening before. Staff generally seemed very new but were very happy and willing to help. Hotel is rather remote from restaurants and so you need to have transport if going out in the evening.

Wifi could be faster

The only good thing was the staff, they were friendly and helpful throughout and they really tried to improve our situation but unfortunately it was out of their hands.

Where do we start? The biggest issue is that we booked a ‘Standard double’ room based off the images on Booking.com, when we checked into the hotel the room looked nothing like those images and it smelt of damp. They moved us to another room after we complained which was marginally better but still not like what was in the pictures. On the morning after our first night we spoke to a new person on reception and she admitted they use the same pictures from the more luxurious rooms for the standard double. They offered us to move to one of their better rooms for the second night but at this point it was too little too late - we are currently asking for a refund through booking.com The breakfast is Al A Carte which is fine but the vegetarian options are limited. I asked for a vegetarian breakfast and literally got two mushrooms and some scrambled eggs (see photo). To top it off, they would take our towels in the morning but wouldn’t replace them- just annoying! Just to let you know, the pool is also a lot more underwhelming than the pictures show. Finally, the location is bad (this is a bit on us, we should have checked). In the name it is ‘Luxor Kirindi Ella’ - the hotel is over 30mins from Ella!!

The facilities and set up are brilliant. This is one of the most modern places you’ll find if you’re wanting something near Ella, however this is NOT in Ella. It’s about 30 mins out of the center.

Location is a bit deceiving, although not an issue as we had a tour guide, if you’re travelling without one this is not an ideal location to stay.

No water pressure Was challenging to define the called/ warm water Smelling in the bathroom Breakfast was lower than usual

Very vary basic facilities but the staff did his best

Nice personel, after first night we asked to change the room and they did that immediately

In the first room there was molded mattress and three of five pillows stank like sweat :/ they need to do something about the mold which you could feel everywhere

The staff was really nice. And helpful. The manager prepared snacks and fruit because we were leavin at 4 in the morning for a safari. And he got up just because of us. Thank you again. Also nice pool and clean and spacious room
