Quiet location. Rooms are beautifully decorated.

Lovely hosts, beautiful house and a really comfortable room. Breakfast was fabulou, generous and varied and the bedroom top up system was great. Walks from right outside the door were super and walkable to the food options in Hawkshead

Definitely our favourite B&B. Sue and Richard gave us lots of tips of beautiful walks and places to swim and paddleboard. The breakfast was amazing with lots of choice. The setting was stunning, just on the edge of Hawkeshead so a short walk to shops, cafes, restaurants which were plentiful. Walks from the doorstep. On the quieter side of Lake Windermere which was perfect for us. The room was incredible - large room with garden views and huge comfortable bed, big bathroom with hillside views, double shower, claw foot bath. We felt so completely spoilt and would absolutely recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area. A big thank you to Sue and Richard :)

Lovely people, lovely room, fab breakfast. 100 per cent recommend. The veranda room is spacious, spotless, has bath and large shower. Had breakfast served on our own private veranda overlooking beautiful garden. Cant wait to return

The weather but hardly the hotels fault. They even provided a big umbrella

Visited for my Husbands birthday and was greeted by Sue and Richard with the offer of fresh made cake and coffee. The sun was shining so we sat in the beautiful gardens listening to the sound of the trickling brook in the garden. Exceptional breakfast menu with fresh local ingredients. If you are unsure where to visit whilst in Hawkshead or indeed anywhere in the lakes - Sue and Richard will happily recommend places away from the crowds. Fresh milk and chilled water provided for all the rooms with a fridge available on the landing. Most definitely on the list for a revisit. Great places to eat in walking distance too but do book ahead!!

That we had to come home :(

We had a lovely room with a large, comfortable bed and a private terrace looking out onto the garden. Breakfast was outstanding in variety, quality and quantity. Best of all were our hosts, Richard and Sue, who made us so welcome and gave excellent advice on local walks and restaurants.
