"Port Isaac is a majestic place to visit. My visit was made even nicer by Marvin, Hey Jude, and Marco"

10.0

My room had the best view in the house. I set me computer up at the window and could see the harbor, the buildings and, of course, Doc Martin's house. IT was all made more charming by seeing the people walk along the road. The host, Marvyn was really sweet and very helpful. He's funny too. His gallery with his artwork is another attraction. The woman who works there, hey Jude, as I call her, and her name is Jude, was especially helpful. I needed a taxi to go back to the train station to get my train to London and she made sure I got the very best there was. She sent Marco, not sure of spelling, to get me there. He is the best and a local historian and on the road to the station, he made side trips for me and gave me the history, and his life story, which was fascinating. I would, and will, stay here again and again. But Marco has to take me to the train station. There is more history to learn. It was a wonderful trip and lovely people at the Gallery. Hey Jude, I will be back. Get my info from M.

There was nothing I did not like. All worked out well for me.

Location-staff and ambience

Room very small and no room for luggage or storage- we had to live out of a suitcase bathroom tiny too. Very clean- if room was half the size again would have been great!

"It is beautiful place great location but walking up the hill and car parking is difficult."

9.0

Location and view were fabulous. Plenty of good places to eat and drink. The atmosphere is great and some beautiful places around the area.

The restricted access and no parking and steep walk to the public carparks. Can get really crowded.

"Leuke, creatieve plek met uitzicht op de baai"

8.0

Het verblijf lag heel centraal met mooi uitzicht in het schattige dorpje Port Isaac.

Je kon voor de deur komen voor het uitladen maar dat was best lastig en het was eerst niet helemaal duidelijk waar je daarna kon parkeren.

"Unique Property"

8.0

The property is half way down the hill between the main car park and the quayside. For anyone who has never been the hill is very steep and it is best not to drive thru Port Isaac as the road is so narrow. The two apartments are above a Gallery - one on the first floor and a suite on the second. Both have their own bathrooms. They both look out onto the beach and sea and it is really beautiful. It is an old house so the stairs are rather narrow and could be an issue if you had mobility problems. There is tea/ coffee/ milk and water and a little fridge. No breakfast is served here but there are cafes nearby who serve from 8.30am onwards. There are some lovely Restaurants and pubs in Port Isaac and I found everyone I met working there really friendly. The bed was so comfortable and there is a garden but again access could be difficult if you had mobility problems as it is thru a window.

Although this was not an issue for me, there is no reception area as such - it is more like a holiday home. The rooms were not serviced on a daily basis but you could ask if needed.

lovely large comfortable bed. great bathroom and comfortable living room with large TV which was great to watch Wimbledon when we were staying . Beautiful decor

It was on the second floor which normally is OK but we had been walking the coastal path so more steps to climb!!
